- Marin County substitute teacher for middle and high schools. Successfully implemented teachers' lesson plans in a variety of subjects and grade levels.

- Assisted in the instruction and implementation of pilot course for students and faculty to develop a web presence and portfolio for future employment. Independently conducted lab sessions to assist in the web design and development of students' sites.

- Guided a multicultural class of 26 students in student-centered learning through laboratory experiments, benefitting my kinesthetic learners, and group work, which utilized and developed students' social skills. Differentiated instruction to meet the needs of different learners and perspectives.
- Implemented a research-based unit about the Farallon Islands' mouse infestation problem. Required students to use "real world" skills of public speaking and collaboration by researching and presenting their topic to their peers, parents, and school faculty and administration.
- Designed and taught a cell biology unit in collaboration with a veteran high school science teacher. Created PowerPoints, Prezis, and assessments, integrated experiments and demonstrations, and utilized animations and videos for effective instruction.
- Combined direct instruction with hands-on experiments to instruct a heterogeneous class of 28 students.
- Collaborated with anchor teacher in designing project-based learning experiment to test the efficacy of student-produced casts on protecting broken chicken wing bones.
- Tutored five ESL students daily in geometry. Cultivated a relationship with the students and helped them earn passing grades in their math course.
